Donna Enis, longtime teacher and coach, has been appointed to fill the unexpired term of school board member Katherine White, who announced her resignation at this month's regular board meeting. Here, Enis coaches the 'Nettes.
Press Release Pickens County School System - In a called Board of Education meeting this morning, Ms. Donna Enis was selected to fill the remaining term of the vacated seat of Katherine White. Ms. Enis was among five candidates who expressed their interest in serving our community in this capacity.
Ms. Enis brings 30 years of educational experience to the position, which includes working in two systems outside of Pickens County. In her teaching and coaching experiences, she has held various positions including that of assistant
athletic director. Throughout her career, she has worked alongside administrators, peers, students and parents.
In her letter of interest, Ms. Enis shares that “serving on the Pickens County Board of Education would give me the opportunity to give back to the community that has supported me during my career.” She goes on to say that being a part of the Board of Education is a responsibility that she will not take lightly. She will advocate for what is in the best interest of students, administrators, faculty, and staff.
Mr. Tucker Green, Chair of the Board, would like to welcome Ms. Enis to her position as a member on the Pickens County Board of Education. He states, “We are excited about the wealth of experience she has to offer in her role and the work she will join us in doing as we move our system forward.”
